Cat Wool Ball FAQ:

Should I get a large or medium wool ball for my cat?
If your cat likes to chase toys we suggest a medium wool ball. If you
have a large cat or your cat likes to kick things we suggest a large
ball. If you have a large dog in the house remember that a medium wool
ball for cats could be a swallow hazard to your big dog.
How durable are the wool balls?
For cats, these are very durable. If they get too fuzzy or get
dropped in water bowls or other wet places you can wash them. Just
follow the instructions they come with. Basically, throw them in any
wash and when they come out roll them between your palms and air or
machine dry.
Watch out for the back of the refrigerator and/or the vacuum.

Why don't you offer a really small wool ball?
The risk to large dogs in any household is too great. This being said
if you have no dogs and a really tiny cat, please email us and we may
have small balls available. Small balls sometimes occur since we make
our wool balls by hand.
Why do cats love wool?
We think this is about the smell and texture. Cats can
smell lots of stuff we cannot. We think synthetics smell really bad to
cats. When we make a wool ball we only use gentle dish washing liquids
and water. The wool does not contain dyes. All the cat smells is the
fresh animal quality of the wool. Also, the wool gives in to the
claws of your cat in a nice real way-maybe in a "mousey" kind of way.
Like a mouse but with no blood.
What if my cat won't play with the wool ball?
Just like with people, not everyone likes the same thing. You might
try sprinkling catnip on it. You might also try playing in the bathtub
with it. Let the cat chase it in an area he or she already likes.
Also, some cats like to play with the balls in private when moms and
dads are sleeping. See if the ball changes locations when you aren't
looking.
