Hemp is a great natural fiber. Here are a few facts:
Hemp is:
- grown without pesticides and/or herbicides
- naturally hypoallergenic
- 100% biodegradable
- longer, stronger, more absorbent than cotton
- is not an effective recreational drug - you cannot get high by smoking hemp
- a multiple use fiber, for example, the first paper
was made from hemp as well as the first draft of the declaration of
independence and the U.S. constitution
Because of these qualities hemp makes wonderful, soft,
and mildew resistant collars and leashes. The collars soften with use
and many dogs who have trouble with nylon collars wear them with
comfort.
